All about Rangatahi Rise
-

Evidence
Rangatahi Rise was created using best-practice, evidence-based health promotion tools and social action models. These include models such as Te Whare Tapa Whā, Te Pae Māhutonga and the Spectrum of Prevention.
Every step of the action plan is informed by recent data collected from research and pilot Rangatahi Rise projects run by schools across Aotearoa.

Support
As a Rangatahi Rise group, you’ll use a best-practice framework to guide your work. This framework helps your group to plan, execute and evaluate your project with confidence.
Plus, we’ve got resources and other tools to help your group along the way.
We’ll also connect your project group with other Rangatahi Rise groups, and a dedicated supervisor will help answer any of your questions and support you throughout this process.

Commitment
While each project will be planned and executed by students, it’s important that a teacher can offer guidance and support when needed. As a supervising teacher, you’ll sit in on group meetings, be the liaison between the rangatahi group and other school staff, and provide administrative support.
